It's the month of February! And with that we also begin our first meeting for 2012. So, what's up for the community in the year of the dragon? That's what we'll be talking about.
Our theme for this evening is Mobile Trends and Insights 2012. We will be discussing TOP-OF-THE-PYRAMID statistics on the current Mobile ecosystem and what trends might happen in 2012. Afterwhich Globe Telecom, the World Food Programme, and Ayala Foundation will be sharing their insights on using mobile technology at the BOTTOM-OF-THE-PYRAMID especially since Philippines is NOT a smartphone country.
Leigh Reyes (President and Chief Creative Officer, Lowe Philippines) will start the meeting with an overview of our topic for the night.
Rob Nazal (Corporate Social Responsibility Head, Globe Telecom) will then present how mobile innovations can be a game changer for the bottom of the pyramid.
Mario Deriquito (Senior Director, Ayala Foundation) will be discussing how the mobile solution Text2Teach is making an impact on education.
We have Stephen Anderson (Country Director and Representative, World Food Programme) in our meeting to introduce to us Conditional Cash Transfer (Mobile Payments). Gonzalo Plaza (Manager, BridgeIT Chile Program ) is also joining us to share what he has learned in implementing mobile education in Chile.
